A great event website question

HI
Thanks for the response. It is appreciated.
What proportion of sales are advanced tickets, compared to within a few weeks or days?
How early do you suggest event sites be put online compared to what actually happens with event site timing of going online?
Should much effort be used on generating backlinks from all the event calendar sites?
Perhaps that is another difference between the one time, limited product of the event and the 1000 page business site that offers continuous product - thus having a page for every possible niche for lead generating and sales.
Much success to you!

I'm going to answer one of the most common questions from above. Because it's applicable to every event organizer!
QUESTION:
"How early do you suggest event sites be put online compared to what actually happens with event site timing of going online?"
ANSWER:
You should put your event website up as early as possible. But it needs to be designed in a very specific way! Right now, there are clients who are 2-3 years away from their next major event. They are all using a website that is designed for one specific goal. That goal - to generate warm ticket sale leads for their next event.
Here's a real-life example to drive the point home ...
Last year, an event organizer in Poland used the recommendation above (plus some specific action items). They just reported to me: "Eugene, we generated 12,000 leads to our next event using your exact recommendation." To which I asked, "12,000 leads in 12 months?" Their response, "No 12,000 leads in 6 months!"
Last year, the Polish event organizers didn't take well to my suggestion. They instead wanted to focus on social media influencers. And no, not the Kardashians. I'm proud they changed their minds.
What would 12,000 event leads mean for your event?
The specific action items used by the Polish event will be covered in the next Event Profit Report.
If you're serious about marketing your next event, you're going to want in on this one!
